If you compare different continents across the globe the yardstick of richness overlaps with the richness of environmental heritage. What makes western nations rich and prosperous is their love for nature , its protection, conservation and improvement. Despite of environmental benefits that the richest nations enjoy as gift of God , its contribution of their population and governments to protect nature. You are rich only if your environment is rich. Look at the globe or come to Europe and Americas to witness the same. Protect plants to protect planet.
Water plants float on water bodies but still can respire as they have stomata largely on upper side of the leaves ( adaxial surface) and either have broad leaves or serrated leaves.
