Marwar teak or Tecomella undulata is plant found in wilderness of desert of Rajasthan including extreme desert of western Rajasthan. This plant provides wood resembling in qualities teak or Tectona grandis to some extent and is known as teak of Marwar. Alas this plant is coming in endangered plant species ( not in that legal sense of meaning of red data book things) but its rarer and rarer to see these plants. On and behind these hills surrounding of famous Amber fort of Jaipur was famous shooting range of earstwhile Maharaja of Jaipur and almost in until 1920s to 1940s period hunting tiger in this range was not uncommon, meaning thereby the forests were so dense that wild animals have their habitat.
