Plantations among the city divider and on the buisy roads in Barcelona, in Chicago, in Paris, in Frankfurt are remarkable feature in some of the richest cities of the world.
What makes them rich is their love for nature. Plantations along roadside on buisy roads absorbs some of the green house gases and helps in reducing the pollution.
If you plant trees in your city also , the green trees will make you feel good, you will remain healthy, and healthy mind will live in healthy body. If you have healthy mind and body you will work better and more. It will lead to better productivity and that…

One of the cleanest lake Lake Michigan of Chicago could be eye opener to anyone . Howe could it be so clean. No pollution on land (no visible pollution ) , Michigan lake and Chicago river.
Its their love for nature and its surroundings that makes them rich . If you also love nature and plants you can be as rich and prosperous as you would dream to be amidst the concrete jungle
Congratulations Chicago from a botanist.

Chicago main city is rich because its green. See the Millenium Park, Planetarium and adjoining plantations. Through the Chicago river as seen from boat ride one thing which impressed me most was the effort and successful one to keep city green. A larger number of trees were newly planted on several streets and dividers.
Chicago is rich because its green in vegetation and nature loving ?
Even buisy roads have trees on them which are protected well.
If you want to be rich grow some trees in your city also.

People believe that herbs can cure it all. Some say they are toxic and dont use traditional therapies.
Who is right who is wrong. Once they know the content of the plant they rush to take our extracts out of it and apply in modern day medicines.
Where is the truth.
That herb is missing which used to be given in Vedic times or we dont know which plant is " Ashwagandha " . What is its botanical name. Why Nagori aswagandha is useful and not local one?
Where are the Vaidyas who can identify the "buty " or proper herb which Hanumanji brought for Laxman ?
Correlations between the vedic literature,…

Given an aggressive public relations campaign designed to obscure facts about the organic food industry, we are clarifying what an 'organic' label means and does not mean.
To be certified 'organic' a producer needs to prepare documentation (fill out forms) testifying they obey the guidelines below and pay a fee. There is no 'on the spot' checking of farms to insure compliance.
Organic regulations restrict and in some cases ban additives like preservatives, artificial sweeteners, colorings and flavorings, and monosodium glutamate (MSG).
95% of the food must obey those guidelines…

Its child health, health care, old age care which is important but still important is education of parents to have good parenting.
Rich nations have higher level of education, children are borne very rarely and , their health is good. Parents spend less time taking them to hospitals because they pay full attention and care.
Some of the old beliefs and practices are major source of trouble in poor nations.
One such example I observed was that it was written on honey bottle ‘ HONEY NOT TO BE GIVEN TO NEW BORNE CHILDREN TILL THEY ARE ONE YEAR OLD. “
In contrast to his in India they give honey…

What I mave observed in these months that healthy and wealthy nations are rich in vegetation also .
Its child health, health care old age care which is important but still important is education of parents to have good parenting.
Rich nations have higher level of education, children and borne far and few , their health is good Parents spend less time taking them to hospitals because they pay full attention and care.
Healthy children produce healthy nation and healthy people work hard to produce wealthy nations.
When will poor countries understand that their major problem is not pollution…

Petermann Ice Island Revisited
Petermann Ice Island (2010) Calved on August 05 2010. The calving had been anticipated for some time and had been predicted to occur in summer 2010 by a number of people, including myself. The actual calving event was observed in near real-time images by a number of people - credits at the foot of this article.
I give here some more background to my observations and my predictions of the Petermann calving event in a wider context of mechanical forces which may act on glaciers.

Factory waste, printing and dying industry waste, and bio-organic waste and now oil spills all require bacteria or complex of microbes to clean them as bacteria can utilize these products for their nutrient requirement. Bacteria may not be able to degrade these products completely but they can bring them to a stage where they are easily disposed.
Its time more time and research is done on bioremediation
If we could have enough information how to cure the oil spills with bacterial treatments it will save future disasters.
Its time we undertake bioremediation as serious research topic.

Microbes work to mop up oil
Some months ago I posted on the scientificblogging.com on my site that probably microbes have eaten the oil away. This was based on my interaction with Dr Banwari lal of TERI India who discovered and pioneered this mixture to scavenger the spilled oil. It was no wonder to me as almost all the organic material on the earth is eaten up by bacteria. Hydrocarbons also come in this category. Here again this view was supported by recent findings of Lawrence Berkley laboratory. I am quoting the report from
Terry Hazen of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and his…
