Nasa's GOES robot satellite discovered a massive solar flare on the surface of the sun on August 9th. This discovered flare released a massive amount of radiation and high-energy particles into the solar system. This will be a serious problem for space agencies and the planet in the future.

When a beam of a variety of high enegy light hits the earth, it disturbs the radio waves comming from the satellite. Well, some TV or radio stations did had problems with collecting data from the satellite on tuesday (August 9th).

But the problem is that we can have more major problems with GPS, radio, TV, and cellphone communiation from 2013 to 2014 and in the future. Nasa scientists say that in 2013 to 2014 the sun's emitting energy rate will increase rapidly. As you know, the sun's energy levels increases and decreases in an 11 year cycle, and 11 years has pasts since the U.S had trouble with communication from 2003 to 2004.

Also the International Space Station will be in big trouble. When the particles hits the earth, the outer atmosphere's energy level builds up, and expands. Then, the orbit where the International Space Station and the other satellites are orbiting will be filled with a little amount of air, so the satellite's velocity will slow down!!! As the satellite slows down, it will reach the outer atmosphere and fall down and burn up.
Before 2011, the space shuttle helped lifting the International Space Station. But since the shuttle missions are over, and the 40 year Soyuz Russian spacecraft mission is having trouble with launching, the Iss will need a new designed spacecraft before 2013.
So I think the US, Russia, Europe, and Japan should be working on it. And president Obama should invest more money to NASA for space technology.
