"The Globex Team has truly embraced the Green Movement and we are excited about reducing our environmental impact through a broad range of initiatives that produce tangible, measurable results." says Alex Eadie, CMA, Executive Vice President.

The Globex Environmental Policy focuses on sponsoring endangered Amazon Rainforest through Cool Earth Action. Our sponsorship protects 88 mature trees, 380 saplings, 6 endangered animals, 322 types of plant and over 11,000 species of worm and insect. Our partnership with Cool Earth Action also provides local employment opportunities in Atininga, Brazil.

Additionally, Globex Foreign Exchange employs power-saving devices in all offices for both equipment and lighting, conserves water and paper as possible and recycles plastics, cans, cardboard and paper. January 2007 to date, between our Edmonton and Montreal offices alone, Globex has recycled enough paper to save over 50 trees.

Globex Foreign Exchange Corporation participates in the City of Edmonton Employ-E Discounted Transit Pass program, further contributing to the reduction of greenhouse emissions produced on the daily commute of our Head Office staff. With a 54% staff participation rate, the program keeps almost 38 cars from the road every day.

Globex Foreign Exchange is committed to reducing our environmental footprint. We will continue to add more environmental programs and initiatives in the months and years to come.

Globex Foreign Exchange is an international leader in corporate foreign exchange as well as large scale personal foreign currency exchange transactions.
