Whois James Delingpole?

Never heard of him?  I'm not surprised, really. 

James Delingpole is a writer, journalist and broadcaster who is right about everything.

Who said that?  James Delingpole.

He's a blogger.  A journoblogger if you like.  Not an investigative journalist.  Not a scientist.  A blogger.

Here's an extract from a recent blog.

AGW theory is toast. So’s Dr Rajendra Pachauri. So’s the Stern Review. So’s the credibility of the IPCC. But if you think I’m cheered by this you’re very much mistaken. I’m trying to write a Climategate book but the way things are going by the time I’m finished there won’t be anything left to say: the battle will already have been won and the only people left who still believe in Man Made Global Warming will be the eco-loon equivalents of those wartime Japanese soldiers left abandoned and forgotten on remote Pacific atolls.

The AGW theory is toast bit is a hyperlink to noconsensus.org   The whois data shows that to be a website with a 1 year lifespan set up through a domain proxy service.  Usually, that is a hallmark of a dodgy website set up to sell you shoddy goods via spam.  Which seems to be the case with noconsensus.org, since it is regurgitating the same old denier nonsense that has been debunked over and over again.

Fortunately, the general public seems to be getting fed up to the back teeth with this sort of nonsense.  So, astoundingly, is the mainstream media.

A Google search of key terms shows, I would say, a definite trend in blah-gate fedupness.  Here is a table of search term hits:

That last one is James Delingpole's latest oh no not another dreadful pungate effort at a headline.

So, who is James Delingpole?  He's the sort of writer that inspires people around the world to believe that British newspapers make things up.

Who else is covering this 'Amazongate' story?  Most of the hits are links to James Delingpole's 'scoop' from other blogs.

The Heartland Institute is not open to debate on climate, claiming that there is no concensus on global warming, CO2, sea level rise, climate change, etc.  It is a lobbying organisation with, rightly or wrongly,  many commercial interests.

Some of the lobbyists-officials were hard to miss on the convention floor.
Walter F. Buchholtz, a lobbyist for Exxon Mobil Corp.,
wore the yellow baseball cap assigned to all members of the "whip"
organization as he assisted delegates from Louisiana and Kentucky.

Caveat:
It is fairly obvious that I disagree with the Heartland Institute over global warming.  This does not mean that I necessarily disagree with them over other issues.  In fact, I think that building new homes in known at-risk areas is a somewhat silly idea.  I refer my reader to Matthew 7:24-27
