An article at TBD.com by Amanda Hess is about HIV-positive black gay men. Okay, so far so good. But it had an important typo, namely a key letter left out of a word, and the correction at the top now reads:
If you can't read it ...
Correction: This blog post originally stated that one in three black men who have sex with me is HIV positive. In fact, the statistic applies to black men who have sex with men.
Bold mine but laughs are ... everyone in the Jay Leno audience tonight, I suspect.

Yesterday's Guardian featured this gem, "This is a news website article about a scientific paper", by Martin Robbins. It begins: "In the standfirst I will make a fairly obvious pun about the subject matter before posing an inane question I have no intention of really answering: is this an important scientific finding?"
Enjoy!Alex

Tom Scott is a geek comedian who has been described as a "sometime internet funny man" by The Register has come to the rescue of science journalism with a list of warnings they can go ahead and stick on their articles.
Samples below. We can go ahead and stick that first one on this article since I basically copied his bio from his website. Here are some samples below but go to the link and show him some love so he doesn't declare pirate war on us. He also runs the British part of International Talk Like A Pirate Day.
By all means, moderators, feel free to slap these on any articles you…

A guest post by my friend Lai Ying at the Greenwich Institute of Toxicology.
Global warming is a get-rich-quick scam invented by Al Gore when he was cold and hungry, sleeping in a doorway and penniless. Stories that Al Gore was rich before he invented the CO2 scam are lies propagated by his cronies and acolytes.
That being so, it follows that all "evidence" in support of the global warming THEORY has either been faked or is the outcome of self-delusion by warmist agendists.

While passively watching an episode of South Park,1 my spidey sense tingled - something was amiss, and it wasn't the barely surviving buttons on Cartman's pants. I grabbed the remote from the huz and rewound to the spot that caught my eye2 - a young kid, Token Black, is singing in front of an audience at the Miss Colorado pageant.
I noticed that the audience seemed to have an inordinate number of redheads, so I paused the show, grabbed a pencil and paper, and counted the various hair colors on screen.3 From a simple count of the audience I obtained the following hair color data:
24 red29…

A witty scientist friend of mine asked me," What can an atom and a void can do with us?"
I replied, "Atomic world lies far below and since we cannot see the atoms, their movements, atoms and void have escaped you and me
