David LePoire

Dave explores the connections between energy, the environment, and technology. He currently works at a U.S. national laboratory on a variety of environmental science and homeland security projects. He previously researched oil exploration tool development, material science with ion and neutron scattering, and holographical optical traps. His recent projects include software for radiological cleanup and analysis, environmental impacts of a variety of energy sources, and monitoring conversion of Russian warhead material to nuclear fuel for U.S. consumption. He has published many recent papers concerning historical transitions in energy, environment, and technology along with projections about potential future paths. He has a PhD in computer science from DePaul and a BS in physics from CalTech.
