Temperature data is from the AMSR-E instrument on NASA's Aqua satellite. Global earth image is from NASA's Blue Marble MODIS data composite. NOAA provided the NCEP cloud composite, storm tracks and storm strength. This data visualization was produced by the Scientific Visualization Studio at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.
