On Easter Sunday, April 15th in 1990, I was visiting a church near my home in Penn Hills, PA. A lady in Sunday School asked the pastor “How can I teach my teen-aged children about Adam&Eve in the Garden of Eden when they are being taught evolution in school?”. All the pastor would say is “just believe the Bible”. I considered that a copout, and realized that theologians had no clue on how to explain Genesis. So I decided that I’d resolve the so called creation/evolution controversy. I didn’t care if I proved the Bible to be wrong, or science to be wrong. I just wanted to help that lady, and others that wanted the truth.
I read most all available books in the library on prehistoric man, cosmology, geology, evolution, Big Bang, and biblical creation. I was especially disappointed in the creation books. It was obvious that the authors were “grasping for straws” and did not understand the Genesis text themselves. I also began to read Genesis, over and over again to try to make sense of it. This went on until February 1991, when I got the revelation that Moses was not writing about Creation Week. I didn’t know “what” he was writing about, but I did more research based on that angle. It was then when I began writing the manuscript “Moses Didn’t Write About Creation!”.
Other revelations came concerning other areas of Genesis, such as Jacob leaving home when he was 75 years old, and getting married when he was 83, in 2075 BC. The flood of Noah was in 2611 BC, and the Babel Tower incident (division of the continents) was in 2509 BC. But the seven days of Moses remained a mystery, until the Lord spoke nine words to me one night in December 1993. After going to the Carnegie Library to read a direct Hebrew to English translation, confirming what I had heard, I became the leading expert in the world (“foremost terrestrial authority”) on the book of Genesis.
From 1994 through 2004, twelve seminars were given, (at two hotels and one convention center), in three different states. A total of nine people attended. Yes, the events were advertised in the local papers, radio stations, and leaflets handed out. Why is it that they were not largely attended? Maybe it’s because we’re living in a land that loves a lie.
Using the internet, I wrote to every creationist organization in the world that I could find at the time, trying to introduce the truth of Genesis. I recently have written Ken Ham’s Answers In Genesis, the Institute of Creation Research (ICR) in San Diego (both of “young Earth”), the staff scholars of Reasons To Believe in California (Day/Age), and also the Discovery Institute (Intelligent Design) in Seattle Washington. I wrote each one, copying in each submission to the National Center for Science Education (NCSE), asking that we establish a “united front” against the ideology of evolution, and teach the truth of Genesis.
I challenged them on points of scripture, but only the ICR responded…., once. When they were cornered concerning “where did the water come from” on the first day, and why male&female are made after the animals in Genesis chapter one, and Adam is made before the animals, then Eve, in Genesis chapter two, the ICR cut out and ran. Did any of them want to learn and share the truth of Genesis? No, not a single one, because we’re living in a land that loves a lie.
I copied in the NCSE since I had “been around the table” with them in the past, so that they could both see what I was trying to do, and to be a witness to my efforts in case those other “creationist clowns” claimed ignorance. I also offered to meet with the NCSE. They wrote back twice, but refused to put their doctrine on the table with mine, to see if there was another plausible (realistic) explanation of the 600+ million year fossil record of death. Why won’t they meet with me, or have a joint Evolution/Genesis presentation (face-off)? It’s because we’re living in a land that loves a lie.
You can find on the internet that the present-day Sanhedrin court in Israel wants to revive the ancient Temple rituals, and make known God’s laws for the people. Let me give you a quote I found. It is as follows:
“Since we know that G-d seeks the acknowledgement of His Being and Unity by all of humanity and since we are to be a "Kingdom of Priests", does it not follow that we must be perceived as such by the nations to be able, as a Holy (distinct) People, to fulfil G-d’s Ministry as His Priests on earth?”
At first I thought that the Sanhedrin was a body of sincere rabbis that wanted to “wake up” Judaism to it’s true Divine heritage. I wrote to them, but most of them don’t speak English very well, if at all. Part of my letter to them, contained the following two paragraphs.
The Lord God chose to reveal Himself to (and enter into a covenant of marriage
with) the people of Israel. It has been the duty of the Jewish people to convey to
the rest of the world the existence of the Creator. The nation of Israel is the only
sovereignty that has received it’s constitution from the Eternal Spirit Himself.
The very first written edict we have from God is this statement: “In the beginning,
God created this universe, starting with the planet Earth”.
Along with that, we have His declaration that “For in six days, the LORD made
the heavens and the Earth, the sea, and all there in them is, and rested the seventh
day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it”. Therefore,
the Sabbath day was instituted as a day of rest in acknowledgement of Creation
Week, being 168 hours in length. This is the very foundation of the Holy Scriptures.
If the union of the Sanhedrin fails to embrace this fundamental truth, and correctly
teach it to the people, they have no authenticity, and their rituals of worship are
just a big joke.
So, a rabbi with good understanding of English wrote back. I wanted to go to Israel to give my Genesis chapter one PowerPoint presentation (“Observations of Moses”) to them in Jerusalem. It was clear that I could not afford to go, and that I may not be given an audience if I came. So I sent the presentation to him, and the following was his reply:

Subj: Re: Can Evolution and the Torah’s Account of Creation Coexist?
Dear Mr. Cummings,
I just finished seeing the powerpoint presentation.
WOW!!!
VERY well done, very impressive, plenty to think about.
I am still bewildered by the ideas, and am awed by your originality.
I am sure that as is, my colleagues will not be able to respond as favorably as I, first
of all because their English is quite inferior. Please do not interpret this as saying I
agree with what you presented; I am awed, but have not had time to study the ideas,
and am not convinced, just bewildered and awed.
Thank you for this opportunity to see this exposition of religious ingenuity. I will try
to revert when the present flurry of work subsides.
Sincerely,
Rabbi --- ---
Now, here comes the kicker. I pleaded with the rabbi to bring this to the body of the Sanhedrin, test it with the literal interpretation of scripture, and either publicly declare it to be in error, or publicly embrace it as the truth of Genesis. No inconsistencies as to points of scriptural error were found. But neither did the Sanhedrin publicly embrace it as the truth, or to be the best explanation, of Genesis. If they did so, then all the writings of the rabbinical patriarchy concerning the “creation accounts” in the Torah must be declared to be in error, and the revered scholars would be exposed as being ignorant of the text, and of the Law of Moses. So they chose to table it indefinitely (to kill it), because we’re living in a land that loves a lie.
In many churches all across the USA, upwards of 3100, the Genesis one presentation has been offered. All of the pastors, priests, and rabbis actually refused to host the seminar, using one excuse or another. One pastor in Auburn Alabama wrote an article in the newspaper that we should “learn the meaning and message of Genesis”, but that the actual text was allegorical. I wrote to that pastor, stating the contrary, declaring the literal truth of God’s Word, and offering to give the presentation at his assembly.
Do you think that he wanted his community and congregation to learn the truth of Genesis? No so. He is one of the many “infidels preaching from the pulpit”. He, like all other clergy that I’ve talked to, would rather see the people die in ignorance, not ever knowing the truth of God’s Word.
It’s not limited to only Protestants, Catholics, Pentecostals, LDS, Muslims, or JW’s, it’s all across the board. A Jewish rabbi in Alabama wrote the following,
proving that even Jewish rabbis don’t believe the scriptures:
I do not think my synagogue community is ready for a presentation
on this subject. You must understand that the way that many Jews understand
the bible is NOT as literal science or history, but as a book full of some history
and many morals.
Over 2300 Bible colleges/universities, and theological seminaries have refused to allow their students to see the presentation. Some used the excuse that I had not the “proper credentials”, or said that they “already teach the truth of Genesis”. I wonder if that pastor in Auburn was a graduate from one of their institutions. No wonder we have so many “infidels preaching from the pulpit”. When the blind teach the blind, the clergy becomes accustomed to the darkness.
Also, every governor, state legislature, and state school board in the USA with a website have been contacted. Want to guess the results? For the past eight years, I have been trying to get a phone interview with the residing US Secretaries of Education, under Presidents George Bush and Barack Obama. I even tried to get my US Senators to assist me in that effort. They were of no help at all. I even wrote the White House several times beginning in March 2009, trying to get attention to the need of education reform, asking for a space of time to give my presentation. In late July 2009, I made a trip to Washington DC to “knock on their door”, for the sake of principle, in hopes of opening blind eyes to the truth. Of course, I was turned away. However, a few weeks later, President Obama found time to grant an interview to a nine year old boy, who was invited to the White House.
Why is it that the truth of Genesis is blocked, and the falsehood of evolution has a monopoly in public schools, indoctrinating our children into the tenets of Atheism, supported by every state in America? However, school boards have no problem introducing sex awareness and the gay life style to young students.
Why is it that of the more than 40 articles that have been written by this author only two in the last ten years have ever been published in a newspaper? They have been sent to every known major English paper around the world, but only one time in Billings Montana, and one time in Columbus Georgia, has an article been published. Therefore most all of the world has the wrong view of Genesis, and the news media favors commentary that promotes the theory of evolution. Why? It’s because we are living in a land that loves a lie.
In Knoxville Tennessee, the school board was voting on whether or not to approve a science book that said that “creationism was a biblical myth”. A NBC affiliate, WBIR.com, had an online article on the matter. I commented on it with the following:
"Materials that offend, are intolerant, are racist, are biased, are one-sided in nature should not be used in our school system," said Kurt Zimmermann. Well said Mr. Zimmermann. The author of the book was not only biased, but was also foolish to comment upon something which they obviously are not an expert, and spoke from ignorance.
"The book has historical and scientific inaccuracies. It's an offense to me, as I've stated, because God's power in my life is real," said Mark Littleton. That comment is worthless Mr. Littleton, and is meaningless to others. How about stating that the school system allows a book to state an opinion about an opposing view of pre-historic history, but the school system won't allow a book (or a discussion) about that opposing view in science class? The school system is biased, and supports the religion of Atheism.
But that's only part of the problem. Current creationism is not the correct opposing view of the evolution theory. Creationism is both false (old Earth), and foolish (young Earth). The correct view is the "Observations of Moses", which gives another explanation of the 4.6 billion year geologic history of Earth, and explains the 600+ million year fossil record of death.
Before making a decision of acceptance of the book, the BOE should view the PowerPoint presentation of the Observations of Moses. The monopoly of evolution in public schools is unconstitutional. The use of public funds to indoctrinate students into the belief system of Atheism is WRONG!! Public schools are to remain neutral in this area, and are not to persuade students, or take sides, one way or another.
In answer to the obvious question, “yes” I wrote the BOE and they failed to respond.

The point is that I attached my comments to the article and it was available to be seen by others. A web-based “progressive research and information center” called Media Matters for America (a Fox friend?) had an online article, reporting the same event. The link is - http://mediamatters.org/blog/201004080010, if you want to see it. I tried to attach my same comments as above, and it was rejected because they said I should “try to express myself without the use of profanity”. What profanity? I shortened the comment, and put “-at-“ instead of “@”, and they still rejected it. I’m on the “black list” on Fox news, Christianity Today, the Baptist Press, and some others to name a few.
Why is it, in this day and age, nearly seventeen years after the correct interpretation was discovered, that the world in general still does not know the truth of Genesis? Why is it that the John Templeton Foundation gives an award to an author/biologist, who merely asked the question, and for three years has ignored the letters of the author/analyst, who earlier answered the question, reconciling Genesis with the discoveries of science? Guess what the answer is. It’s because we’re living in a land that loves a lie.
Go ahead. Ask your church, school, college, university, or seminary to host the 64 minute presentation. See what weak excuse they come up with for not having it. I’ve been told that it’s too early in the year, too late in the semester, “we recently hosted a creation panel”, or any other excuse they could find. One church in early June told me that they were booked every day for the rest of the year. All 205 days? Yes, even our churches support evolution, and refuse to teach the truth of the Bible, because we’re living in a land that loves a lie.
