Tom, an Australian national, lives in Brighton, on the south coast of England. He graduated from Southampton University with a BSc in physiology and biochemistry, and holds an MSc in toxicology from Portsmouth University. He earned his PhD, in microbial biotechnology, from Cranfield University.
