I am a Geneticist by training but have had a broader interest in the social impact of genetics, in part because I myself have a rare genetic condition. My specialty is Bio-informatics. I have looked at ways of classifying sequence data according to tm values and base richness, and also looked at building models of how genes interact with each other (This is the Polygenic Expression Model). In 2000 I developed software to do this using Delphi/Kylix Pascal and Assembler.
In terms of the social side of genetics I do have an interest in the history of various ideas that surrounded the subject.
