M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, followed by a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation post-doctoral fellowship at the Joslin Diabetes Center at Harvard Medical School. Currently Executive Vice President of Scientific Affairs at Coronado Biosciences since August 2013, having joined Coronado in December 2011 as Senior Vice President of Scientific Affairs and serving as Executive Vice President & Chief Medical Officer from April 2012 through July 2013.

Prior to joining Coronado, I was Senior Vice President for Strategic Alliances at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) where I was responsible for advancing the JDRF's involvement with scientific, financial, and commercial partners in the diabetes community.

Prior to JDRF, I worked at Johnson & Johnson as Vice President of Metabolic Strategy and Business Development.
