Randy Savage, the "Oh Yeaaaah!" Macho Man with the unnatural tan and the gravelly voice, died in a car accident in Seminole, FL. Savage, 58, apparently had a heart attack while driving and hit a tree. If you ever heard him during a television broadcast, you likely thought he was having a heart attack at the time. His neck was always bulging and virtually nothing he said was without hyper-exaggerated emotion.
Why mention it on a science site? If you have traveled a lot, you have spent time in airports and that means you have seen athletes of every kind. Pro wrestlers fly commercial and, despite what you might want to believe due to their size or their on-air personalities, you have never met a more unfailingly polite group of people. It's hard to say if it's the culture of wrestling, where Vince McMahon or other federations instill that they are in the entertainment business and bad behavior is only to be scripted, or the kind of upbringing they had that leads more people to go into wrestling instead of into sports where too many become jerks, but it's to be commended. Business people, scientists and anyone else could learn a lot seeing how professional wrestlers act during stressful travel situations.
