With an economy in freefall and his party poised to lose control of the House, President Obama has found time to appear on "Mythbusters", which will shore up the one demographic already guaranteed to vote for anyone not a Republican - scientists.

In the episode he taped, Obama will help Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman test the viability of Archimedes' rumored 'death' ray, determining if it’s possible to light ships on fire using only ancient mirrors and the Sun - which is basically the same project they did in 2004, so maybe they are so out of ideas they are having to debunk themselves but David Wallace at MIT already proved they didn't know their science as well as Archimedes.

The show will air Dec. 8, according to the Discovery Channel.
