6,400 state university students and staff urged to vote early and help Democratic Party

Should tax dollars for a state school be used to solicit votes for a political party?   If you think it's illegal and unethical, you're right.

State school employees in the student affairs division at Winston-Salem State University didn't think that applied to elections where it's this important so 6,400 staffers and students got an email requesting that they help Democrats as much as possible and take advantage of early voting available there.

Since Republicans have much less representation in academia, this did not make them happy and county GOP head Nathan Tabor complained.   The university response?  To send out an email urging all of those Democrats in academia to vote Republican and then they retracted that too.  That is fairness at Winston-Salem State.

The university said it would try to discover who sent out the e-mail and if the partisan nature of it was intentional.

What?  Try?  I can tell them who sent the email in 15 seconds if they give me access to their server.   If they want to continue to get taxes from 100% of the North Carolina voters they need to stop shilling for 50% of them.
