Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro Have Helped The Rich Create New Healthcare Sneetch Stars

It is impossible to not know about 'miracle' weight loss drugs when progressive science magazines like Science called them the "2023 Breakthrough of the Year", something they never said about GMOs despite those feeding 2 billion people with less environmental strain than ever before.

Hey, they're not dumb, they know the demographics of 94 percent of their subscriber base - and anything that helps the rich have much better health outcomes than those poor people is good for business.

That's what Mounjaro, Ozempic, Wegovy, and Zepbound do, create new health disparities. If you are a Sneetch who wants a new health star, Ozempic-face is the look you need.

If you aren't familiar with Dr. Seuss, in In "The Sneetches and Other Stories" book and a 1973 cartoon short, Theodor Seuss Geisel introduced us to Sneetches. Some were lucky enough to be born with a star, and they considered themselves superior to their bare-stomached counterparts. Then Sylvester McMonkey McBean shows up with a device progressives love - it made everyone special. Which meant no one is. But then elites wanted two stars, then three. Then he had a device to remove stars for elites, getting rich the entire time.

That's American healthcare in 2024. The premiums for those who pay are obscene, while health care quality has plummeted as equality rose, and doctors have no availability if you are on a government plan.

Rich people are fine, they can always buy the new star. They can follow Oprah into getting "a gift" of weight loss, because they can afford to go to a boutique doctor and get a prescription and then spend $1000 a month for the semaglutide in Ozempic, even though it is only approved by the Food and Drug Administration for Type 2 diabetes patients. The higher dose form, Wegovy, is $1,349.02 every four weeks.

Let's not rest until everyone has Ozempic face. Then we can pay to have them get skin creams and fillers.

Health insurance doesn't cover 'I don't have a disease but I want to look thin' medications, and most don't even cover optional weight loss medications for patients at all. Health insurance is being besieged by calls to make acupuncture and yoga part of their programs, they don't want to add even more costs. And won't, without Congress forcing it on them. Then the rest of us will have to pay higher premiums even after seeing them skyrocket 400% in 10 years.

How many poor people can afford $12,000 per year? And yet activists insist that poor people need to have food regulated by government more because they are more likely to be obese. They say organic food needs to be mandated and subsidized or else the 'health care burden' will be too great.

The answer will eventually be, of course, more government and higher cost. Free Ozempic for all. And for those who actually pay for health care, continued financial disaster.
